Amalapuram : Prohibitory orders have been imposed in the Konaseema area of East Godavari district in view of the rallies planned by the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) and two groups of Mala Mahanadu on Wednesday. MRPS founder president Manda Krishna Madiga will launch `Madigala Tirugubatu Maha Padayatra' demanding introduction of bill in Parliament on SC categorisation. Similarly, Mala Mahanadu gave a call for `Chalo Amalapuram' agitation programme, while a group in the organisation called for `Malala eduru dadi' programme. MRPS leaders - M. Nageswara Rao and Akumarti Suryanarayana -- said they were not for confrontation with Malas. But, if they create any hurdles for the `padayatra', they would not remain silent. On the other hand, Mala leaders -- P. Srinivasa Rao and I.N. Malleswara Rao -- issued a statement saying they were not against any group. They said the group was against categorisation.
