Kadapa tops in Army recruitment

KADAPA: Army recruitment rally will be conducted at Kadapa every year for the benefit of youth of Rayalaseema, STEP chief executive officer B. Maheswara Reddy said on Tuesday.

Pre-recruitment training to youth helped 600 candidates of Kadapa get through recruitment rallies so far to join the Army, he said at the municipal stadium on the second day of the rally.

Kadapa topped in the number of youth selected to the Army in recent times, he said.

The rally was being conducted for candidates of Kadapa, Chittoor and Krishna districts for selection of soldiers in categories of tradesmen, general duty, clerk and nursing assistants, he said.
