Training programme for Haryana teachers

MoU signed with Bangalore-based Intel company

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding with Bangalore-based Intel Technology India Private Limited for conducting Teacher Technology Support Learning and Training Programme covering the computerised Government schools in the State.

The MoU was signed here by State Commissioner and Director-General of School Education K. K. Khandelwal and Director, Sales and Marketing Group, South Asia of Intel, Amar Babu, in the presence of the Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

The programme also includes sustained professional development of teachers for information and

communication technology integration in Government schools in the State through face-to-face training and also by using State Edusat network and post training implementation support.

The training programme workshops would be held in those schools or District Institutes

of Education and Training (DIET) or State Council of Education, Research and Training, Gurgaon, where computer labs are available.

Independent education modules (Subject wise for senior secondary level) would be developed by Intel in consultation with Mr.Khandelwal.

Education Vision

Intel would support the State Government for drafting State Information and Communication

Technology in Education Vision which is a part of the State Education Development Plan.

Mr. Hooda, while emphasizing the need to change the education system, said that his regime had taken effective steps to improve the quality of education in the State.

The Haryana Education Minister, Phool Chand Mullana, and the Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Education, R.S. Gujral, also spoke on the occasion.
