`Palle Palleku TDP' programme criticised

Staff Reporter

KARIMNAGAR: Karimnagar Agricultural Market Committee chairman Y. Sunil Rao has flayed the Telugu Desam leaders for organising `Palle Palleku TDP' programme and making false and baseless allegations against the Congress Government.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Mr. Sunil Rao alleged that the TDP had been organising the programme only for political mileage and to make their presence felt. He ridiculed the TDP leaders for provoking the farmers on fixing of capacitors for the agricultural motors when the TDP had opposed free power to the farming community.

He predicted that the TDP would be wiped out of the State for its false allegations when several developmental works including irrigation projects were progressing fast.

He also found fault with the TDP leaders for making false allegations against the Minister for Sports M. Satyanarayana Rao on the development of his constituency.

He reminded that Mr. Satyanarayana Rao had visited his constituency villages on three occasions and sanctioned several welfare schemes and developmental works to the tune of Rs. 20 crores in the rural areas. He also said that the Minister had also announced several works for the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation.
