CHENNAI: Effective from April 11, Paramount Airways will be introducing e-check-in facility. Explaining the features of the web-driven facility, the Managing Director of the Chennai-based private airline, M. Thiagarajan, told The Hindu that the new facility would be a boon to those travelling with hand baggage. Under the e-check-in facility, a passenger can log on to the airlines' website (paramountairways.com) and insert the PNR Number details and choose the seat and get a print out and directly proceed to the airport at the designated time for the flight departure. Mr. Thiagarajan said with the induction of the second Embraer 70-seater jet, the airline would be augmenting its present 8 daily flight operations to 22 from April 11 when the Tamil Nadu Governor, S.S. Barnala, inaugurates the twice-daily services between Madurai and Chennai. Besides, the connection to the temple town, it will provide connections between Madurai and Bangalore via Chennai, Hyderabad and Chennai, Hyderabad and Kochi, and between Chennai and Bangalore. It will carry over 1,500 passengers daily.
