Russia Today, a 24-hour informational English television channel on Russia, has started beaming across the world.
Its signals will be available in Asiathrough Taicom satellite, a press release issued by the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Chennai.
The technical specifications for the channel for Asia, Africa and Australia are Taicom 3 (78.5 E); frequency: 3.640 MHz; FEC - 3/4; Symbol Rate: 28.066 Ms/sec; Polarisation: H.
For US and Canada it is IA5 (97 W) satellite; Frequency 11.966 MHz; FEC - 3/4; Symbol rate: 22.000 Ms/sec; Polarisation - H.
For Europe: Hotbird 6 (13E) satellite; Frequency 10.971 Mhz; FEC - 3/4; Symbol rate: 27.5000 Ms/sec; Polarisation - H.
