Award for architect

Bangalore: Dinesh Verma, principal architect and Managing Director of the Ace Group, based in Bangalore, has been selected for the Architect of The Year 2005, award by the Mumbai-based "Accommodation Times," real estate journal. Mr. Verma received the award last week in Mumbai.

This is the first time an architect from Bangalore has been selected for this award and Mr. Verma's design for a school near Bangalore attracted the jury. "I have tried to make use of the natural contours of the land where the school is located. Provision has also been made for recycling all the water for use in the extensive gardens," he said. — Special Correspondent
