BANGALORE: While a team headed by the Mayor Mumtaz Begum is visiting China, another team of Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) engineers has left on a tour of Malaysia to study infrastructure projects. The team of engineers, led by the Chief Engineer (Projects) A.M. Ranganath, includes the Superintending Engineer (Projects) Mruthunjaya, Executive Engineer (Projects) M.G. Srinivas, Assistant Executive Engineer (Projects) C.S. Sridhar, and Assistant Engineer (Projects) M. Lokesh. This team has been invited by a Malaysian company, Greenhands Construction, to study and implement Malaysian technology in the construction of a pedestrian subway in front of the Sri Krishna Rajendra Market (SKR Market) in the city. The team, which left here on Monday, will return on April 10. The Mayor accompanied by two officials and two corporators left here for China on Tuesday on an invitation from the Indo-China Software Association. The team will participate in the Indo-China Friendship Year 2006 celebrations there.
