Man hacked to death

BANGALORE: A man with criminal antecedents was hacked to death by his two accomplices in Byatarayanapura police station limits on Tuesday.

The police gave the name of the dead as Saleem alias Chor Saleem (38), a resident of Kadugondanahalli. He was an accused in theft, robbery and dacoity cases. Around 5.45 a.m., Saleem and his two accomplices had tea at a shop on Pipeline Road in Hosaguddadahalli. A few minutes later, while they were walking near Nehru Junction, the two attacked Saleem with a knife. Saleem, who was injured in the neck and on the head, died instantaneously, the police said.
