BANGALORE: Four persons were killed and seven were injured in two road accidents reported from Bangalore Rural district in the early hours of Tuesday. The police said that around 1 a.m. a water tanker rammed a multi-utility vehicle in which the employees of Toyota Kirloskar Motors were returning home after work. The vehicle driver Nagaraj (40) of J.C. Nagar and an employee of Toyota Kirloskar, Raghavendra (38) of R.T. Nagar, were killed on the spot. Four employees of the motor company, Manjunath, Biradar, Suman and Manjunath, who were seriously injured, are in private hospitals. Two employees, Lokesh and Mahesh Kumar, suffered minor injuries, the police said. The accident occurred near the motor company's unit in Bidadi. The Bidadi police have registered a case. In another incident, two persons were killed in a road accident involving a motorcycle, a private bus and a car on Bangalore-Kolar Road, off Gottipura village, in Hoskote police station limits. The police said that around 5 a.m. a private bus hit a motorcycle on which Manjunath, Ramesh and Venkatesh of M. Hosahalli were riding. Manjunath (26) came under the wheels of the bus and was killed on the spot. As Ramesh (31) fell on the road, a car ran over him, dragging his body to some distance. A lorry driver, who noticed this, informed the car driver of it, the police said. Venkatesh, who was injured, is in hospital.
