Bangalore: With the indefinite strike called by the employees and officers of State Bank of India (SBI) affecting banking operations for the second day, the bank management has requested customers to avail themselves of the ATM facility of its associate banks and those with whom it has bilateral arrangements such as HDFC Bank, UTI Bank, IndusInd Bank, Corporation Bank, Indian Bank, Andhra Bank, Dena Bank, UCO Bank and Punjab National Bank. The usual charges otherwise levied under the bilateral arrangements with the aforesaid nine banks shall be waived/refunded for the transactions made during the period of the strike, the bank said in a statement. Meanwhile, leaders of the two striking workers federations have decided to participate in the fresh round of conciliatory meetings convened by the Labour Commissioner in Delhi on Wednesday with an "open mind". Shantha Raju, General Secretary, All India State Bank Officers Federation, hoped that the Government and the bank management would adopt a positive attitude during the conciliation proceedings.
