Accreditation for PR professionals

CHENNAI: Public Relations Council of India (PRCI), a registered national body of PR and communication professionals, has initiated the process for accreditation of PR professionals in India. PRCI has sought the help of a few global PR bodies, which have carried out detailed studies worldwide, in this regard, says a release. PRCI has already set up an expert committee headed by M B Jayaram to pursue action in this regard. It has also set up a sub-committee of senior professionals. It will study the practises prevailing in other countries and suggest procedures for implementation in India. The sub-committee will submit its report in June, the release says.
