PANAJI: Apart from routine banking transactions, cheque clearing operations and State Bank of India (SBI) ATM services in the State remained affected as the indefinite strike by the bank employees entered the fourth day on Thursday. The striking bank employees from Goa, Sindhudurga and Ratnagiri (Maharashtra) attended in large number a rally taken out by the organisations of the striking officers and employees in the city in the morning.

Chief Regional President of the All India SBI Officers' Federation, Goa, Sripad Madkaikar, said that another rally would be held in the city on Monday. He said that many other bank employee unions have backed the strike and as such clearing operations in Goa have come to a stand still.
