Judges to join `run for justice' today

The marathon will be flagged off at 7.30 a.m. today

BANGALORE: It will perhaps be for the first time that the Chief Justice of a High Court along with other judges and members of the lower courts will participate in the "run for justice" on April 7 being organised by the High Court as part of its golden jubilee.

The marathon, organised on the theme "Justice for all, real and speedy", will commence from High Court premises and will go through Mahatma Gandhi Circle, Anil Kumble Circle, M.G. Road and terminate at High Court via Cubbon Road.

Apart from the Chief Justice and 35 High Court judges, 150 judges of the Civil, Sessions and Magistrates courts, advocates and others are expected to participate in the event.

Begins at 7.30 a.m.

The marathon will be flagged off at 7.30 a.m.

Justice S.R. Bannurmath, who briefed the presspersons on the event, said several sportspersons and Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy are expected to participate.

The marathon will be flagged off by Karnataka High Court Chief Justice Cyriac Joseph.
