CHANDIGARH: Seven children in the age group of three years to six years were burnt alive in a fire that broke out in a house in a Harijan basti at Bohar village in Rohtak district on Friday. According to an official spokesman, all the family members were away from the house when the tragic incident took place. The cause of the fire was not known. Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has expressed shock at this tragic incident and has sent his condolences to the members of the bereaved family. Later in the evening he also rushed to Rohtak and visited the bereaved families. The spokesman added that the dead children included three boys and four girls. The half-burnt bodies of all the seven children were found in a quilt in which they might have hidden when the fire broke out. Rohtak MP Depinder Singh Hooda rushed to the spot. He consoled the bereaved families and disclosed that the State Government had announced a grant of Rs. 1 lakh each for the next of kin of the deceased. Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan has express sorrow over the tragic death of seven children in a fire in village Bohar in Rohtak district.
