GUNTUR: The Guntur traffic police will impose traffic regulations in the city from Saturday to enable execution of works on the Road Over Bridge at Manipuram Railway crossing on the Guntur-Vijayawada road. Circle Inspector (Traffic) R.P.L. Shantikumar in a statement on Wednesday said that all RTC buses from Guntur going towards Vijayawada will travel through Nandivelugu approach road to National Highway No.5. Entire traffic across the railway gate will be stopped.

All heavy vehicles and RTC buses coming into the city from Vijayawada side will enter from Ponnuru road and take a turn towards the bus stand at Budampadu junction. All buses would enter into the bus stand from Kolli Sarada market side instead of normal entry point. Small vehicles from old town going towards Vijayawada would be allowed through the Old Club House Road via Nehru Nagar railway crossing and pass through Seetharamnagar 3rd line to the approach road to NH.5. All small vehicles coming from Arundelpet and Donka Road would be allowed through the Butchaiahpeta 2nd lane and Nehru Nagar 6th lane. Small vehicles from Vijayawada will take a turn into the city at Krishna Hotel Centre pass through Nehru Nagar 1st lane, and Butchaiahpeta 1st lane. No heavy vehicle will be allowed into the city from Kakani bypass and Nandivelugu approach road, he added.
