Fishermen protest against absence of representation

Thiruvananthapuram: The Latheen Catholica Matsya Thozhilali Federation has alleged that the ruling and Opposition parties had intentionally denied representation for the fishermen community in the selection of candidates for the coming Assembly elections.

Speakers at a recent meeting convened by the district committee of the federation at Valiathura said the political class had turned a blind eye to the needs and interests of the coastal population.
