BELLARY: Four persons, including three members of a family, died on the spot and four were injured when the vehicle by which they were travelling collided with a lorry near Byluvaddigeri in Hospet taluk of Bellary district around 1.40 a.m. on Sunday. The victims were identified as L. Basavaraj (48), his sons Suresh (24) and Vishwanath (15) and Hassan (driver). The injured have been identified as Shantamma, Sharadamma, M. Basavaraj and Manjunath. Two of the injured have been admitted to the Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) Hospital in Bellary and the others to Sanjeevani hospital at Toranagal. Basavaraj's family, which had been to Hubli, was returning to Dharmapur in Sandur taluk. P.G. Suddi, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Hospet, visited the spot. The Gadiganur police have registered a case.
