Youth's bike yatra around the world

DIEHARD RIDE: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy before flagging off Bharadwaj Dayala's expedition in Hyderabad.

HYDERABAD: Bharadwaj Dayala is riding alone around the world, on a motorbike. The diehard sportsman's expedition, which will have him covering over 60,000 km across five continents and 50 countries, was flagged off from Hyderabad on Saturday evening by Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.

A sailor, sailing coach and trekker for a long time, Mr. Bharadwaj has spent two years to put together the logistics for his global ride and started from his hometown of Visakhapatnam on April 2.

He will leave the country from Mumbai on April 14.
