BANGALORE: Three persons allegedly murdered a 41-year-old man in Harohalli village in Kanakapura taluk on Saturday. The police gave the name of the dead as Kempaiah. According to the police, the reason for the crime was the dispute between Kempaiah and his neighbours, Suresh, Mooga and Najundegowda, over a piece of land being used as a passage to his (Kempaiah) house. The feud was two months old, they said. Following a quarrel on Saturday, the three assaulted Kempaiah leading to his death. The police have launched a search for the three.
Taken away
Two persons threw chilli powder on a driver and took away a brand new sports utility vehicle in Chikkanahalli near Kallambella in Tumkur district on Saturday. According to the Tumkur police, Vinobha, the driver working with an automobile showroom, Viji Autos, of Bangalore, was driving the vehicle from Hubli. He stopped at Chikkanahalli to check air pressure and also the engine, when the two persons came near him and threw chilli powder at him. They then drove away with the vehicle. A complaint has been registered with the police.
