YUANPING (Shanxi): Nineteen persons were found dead and two persons were seriously injured in an explosion in Yuanping, a city in north China's Shanxi Province on Monday, local sources said. The explosion took place in a garage of the staff of a hospital of the Xuangang Coal and Electricity Company. Most of the victims were hospital staff and their family members, said an official. The explosion destroyed a two-storey building and several small houses nearby. Buildings within one km from the garage were damaged to certain extent and a five-storey medical staff building was damaged nearby. — Xinhua
