CII welcomes foreign trade policy
COIMBATORE:
The Confederation of Indian Industry, Coimbatore Zone, has welcomed the annual supplement to the Foreign Trade Policy, saying that it reflects a pragmatic approach to boosting exports. Its Chairman, Jayakumar Ramdass, said in a release that the two new schemes "Focus Product Scheme" and "Focus Market Scheme" would give a thrust to the manufacturing sector. The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore, said in a release that the Advance Authorisation Scheme to replace the Advance Licence Scheme would help import of inputs in small quantities. He sought an increase in the duty drawback rate by three percentage for the garment sector.
