Powerlifter Xavier dies of heart attack

CHENNAI: Four-time Asian gold medal winner and World powerlifting championship silver medal winner V. Xavier died of a heart attack here on Monday. He was 42.

The ICF lifter had been hospitalised since December after a paralysis attack. Xavier's body has been taken to his native place in Tirunelveli for burial.
