Isolated rain likely in south T.N.

CHENNAI: Isolated rainfall occurred over south Tamil Nadu, Kerala and interior Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over north Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Ayikudi (Tirunelveli dt.) recorded rainfall of one centimetre.

On Monday, the maximum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over Telangana, fell at one or two places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and rose at one or two places over south coastal Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were appreciably above normal at a few places over Rayalaseema, at one or two places over Telangana, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, above normal at many places over rest Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over rest Kerala, rest coastal Karnataka, rest Telangana and coastal Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over rest of the region. Nizamabad, Ananthapur and Adilabad recorded the highest maximum temperature of 41 degree Celsius in the region.

Forecast (valid until Thursday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over south Tamil Nadu , Kerala and interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over north Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Forecast for Chennai city and Neighbourhood valid until Thursday morning: Partly cloudy during morning hours, mainly clear skies thereafter. Maximum temperature will be around 35 degree Celsius.

Farmers weather bulletin for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry (valid until Thursday morning): Isolated light to moderate rain is likely to occur over South Tamil Nadu and mainly sunny weather will prevail over north Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
