Elder Pharma forms alliance with Medichem

MUMBAI: Elder Pharmaceuticals has entered into an alliance with the U.K.-based Medichem International to develop, manufacture and market advanced biosecurity products. The Rs. 375-crore company had already begun marketing of Trigene, a spray used for precaution against H5N1 avian flu virus. The product has been certified by the U.K. Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, says a release. It expects to generate a turnover of Rs. 18-20 crore in the first year from this sector, once it begins manufacturing activities here, the release adds.
