CHENNAI: Armaan Ebrahim finished second in the Graduate Cup of the Formula Renault UK Championship Round 1 at Brands Hatch, U.K., according to a press release. He finished 15th overall in the race. Despite being in the top six overall during testing on Friday, Armaan had a bad qualifying session on Saturday. In the first qualifying session, Armaan after a spin finished with a lap time of 44.8secs, half a second off pole, yet 18th overall. The second qualifying session was even worse as he got hit from behind in the very first lap and damaged his rear suspension. "It is disappointing not to finish in the top five especially when we were on the pace in testing," said Armaan. "However most of the testing was in the wet, while the qualifying and the race were in dry conditions and I needed some more time on the circuit in dry conditions to be on top of my game."
