Mumbai: The 27 State units of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) would receive Rs. 8 crore each as their share of subvention money from TV rights for the fiscal year 2005-06. The total disbursement would be around Rs. 216 crores as against the previous year's Rs. 100.44 crore. The marketing committee of the BCCI has sold the India media rights, team sponsorship rights, off-shore global media rights, etc for close to $ one billion in a short span of four months. The media rights itself would fetch the BCCI $ 612 million (for home series) and $ 219 million (off-shore matches) up to March 2010. As a result, the State units can expect a steep rise in income over the next four years. The home series title sponsorship with Pepsi-Videocon-TVS Motors will expire at the conclusion of the seventh one-day international against England. The BCCI and the Pepsi consortium had signed a contract for Rs. 1.15 crore each for home Tests and one-day internationals three years ago. The BCCI Secretary, Niranjan Shah, said: "The State units would be given 50 per cent of their share of TV subvention (Rs. 4 crore) in April to all members who have submitted their audited balance sheet for 2004-05 and the balance soon after they submit the audited balance sheet for 2005-06.'' The BCCI has also increased the grant for infrastructure development from Rs. 4 crore to Rs. 10 crore. Special Correspondent
