KOZHIKODE: The Regional Science Centre (RSC) and Planetarium will conduct creative ability classes in electronics, astronomy and rocket modelling for high school students, and a programme `Vijnana kouthukam' for children in lower and upper primary classes during the summer vacation. Students will be given an exposure to basic circuit designing, digital electronics, assembling of electronic equipment and the like at the electronic creative centre. In astronomy and rocket modelling, students will be trained in making rockets and its launch, fundamentals of astronomy, telescope and sky watch. Vijnana Kouthukam is designed for small children. The children will be exposed to origami, clay modelling, folk songs, and model making. A course fee of Rs.100 will be charged for the classes. Astronomy and rocket modelling classes for students in Classes VIII, IX and X, will held from April 24 and 29. From May 2 to May 10, electronics classes for students in Classes VIII, IX and X, will be held, and the Vijnana Kouthukam classes will be conducted for the upper primary students from May 15 to 25.
