Sankaracharya to tour Kasaragod

Kochi: Jagadguru Sankaracharya Bharathi Tirtha Mahaswamigal will be undertaking a four-day tour of Kasaragod from Saturday. He will be received at Thalappady in the district by Minister for Forests A. Sujanapal; Cherkulam Abdullah and C.T. Ahmedali, MLAs; and the Bharatiya Janata Party leader C.K. Padmanabhan.

After the reception at Thalappady, the Sankaracharya will proceed to the temple of Malla Durga Parmeswari for special pujas. He will inaugurate the All-World Karad Conference on Agalpadi temple premises on Sunday. In the evening, he will be received at Thyra Math at Chattanchal. On Monday, the Sankaracharya will conduct the Brahma Kalsaabhishekam at Agalpadi temple, inaugurate the Perla Veda Patasala and Bharathi Sadanam and visit Nalanda College at Perla. — PTI
