Mahila Sabha programmes

Andhra Mahila Sabha's Literacy House will be conducting special programmes for students from April 24 to June 2.

Pension Adalat

The 51st Circle Pension Adalat of Andhra Pradesh Postal Circle for the half-year ending will be held on June 5 at 11 a.m. at the office of the Principal Chief Postmaster-General, Dak Sadan, in Abids.

Grievances relating to pension, gratuity and allied matters may be sent to B.V. Ramana, Assistant Director (SR and Accounts) at the office of Principal Chief Postmaster-General, AP Circle, Hyderabad-01 before May 8.

Training for airman selections

Some 250 youngsters have been selected for free training to join the Indian Air Force as airman. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Zone) Sandeep Shandilya said that the Department of Youth Services was sponsoring the training programme that commenced on April 5. The programme would continue till April 17.

Holiday for distance education centre

In view of President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai's visit to Prof. G. Ram Reddy Centre for Distance Education, Osmania University, the office of the centre will remain closed on Wednesday. Contact classes scheduled for the day will also be suspended.

Workshop on pronunciation skills

The Centre for English Language Training (CELT), Osmania University, is conducting a one-day workshop on pronunciation skills April 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Supplementary course book

Principal of Sri Vidya Higher Secondary School is organising a seminar on a supplementary course book at Aga Khan Education Service India in Red Hills. The book teaches mathematics for middle school levels - classes 5 to 8 - incorporating materials that are geared towards making mathematics more enjoyable, at the same time preparing them for classes 9 and 10.
