AJEET BAJAJ: Involved with adventure tourism for over 20 years
NEW DELHI: He has been to many exciting and difficult expeditions across the globe in the past. And he is now all set to leave for the most daunting of them all -- an expedition to the North Pole on skis. Ajeet Bajaj, who has been professionally involved with adventure sports and adventure tourism across the world for over 20 years, says that he wanted to test his endurance by undertaking an expedition to a place where temperatures are sub-zero and the terrain too is harsh. Ajeet will leave for Norway this coming Friday to undergo training in skiing. After undergoing two days of gruelling training there, he will fly to the Russian Polar Research Station in the Arctic from where he will accompany four Americans and one British in the expedition to the North Pole. "I will be braving extreme weather conditions like freezing chilly winds and also inhospitable terrain," says Ajeet. This is said to be the first time that an Indian will be skiing to the North Pole. During the skiing expedition, he will spend days and nights in some of the most extreme conditions on our planet. Footwear and apparel company Woodland will provide Ajeet with the complete attire including jackets, trousers, socks and shoes for the upcoming expedition.
