Leisure Hotels' fifth camp at Maneri

NEW DELHI: After the success of its luxury-tented accommodation at the four Char Dhams — Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath, — Leisure Hotels has launched its fifth camp at Maneri, 17 km from Uttarkashi. The camp will make it easier for pilgrims to undertake the third journey of the Chardham tour from Gangotri to Kedarnath in about nine hours instead of 12 hours earlier. As many as 12 lakh pilgrims visited the holy shrines of Char Dhams in 2004 against 8.5 lakh in 2003, according to Uttaranchal Tourism.
