NEW DELHI: It is not just the acute shortage of water that has angered residents of one of Asia's largest residential housing complexes in the modern sub-city that is Dwarka. Piles of garbage, choked sewer lines and rampant littering have reduced this "zero tolerance'' zone for waste to a hub of environmental pollution and a hotbed for various diseases. While local residents have raised the issue with the authorities concerned, they complain that little has been done to change the situation in the area where the population is now growing at a rapid rate.
