Hafed to give 10 per cent dividend to shareholders

Earns a net profit of Rs. 47 crores during 2005-06

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (Hafed) has earned a net profit of Rs. 47 crores during 2005-06, the Financial Commissioner Cooperation and Hafed Chairman, K.S. Bhoria, said here on Wednesday.

Addressing the annual general body meeting here, he announced that Hafed had declared a dividend of 10 per cent for its member cooperative marketing societies and other shareholders for the financial year 2002-03 and 2003-04. He disclosed that Hafed was one of the first cooperative organisation of its size in the country to get the ISO 9001:2000 for all its establishments and HACCP certification for all its oil and rice mills.

While announcing patronage rebate of Rs. 75,000 to 1.50 lakh for the year 2002-03 and Rs.1lakh to 2.5 lakhs for the year 2003-04 to each Member Cooperative Marketing Society, Rajan Gupta, Hafed Managing Director, congratulated all the delegates and assured full cooperation for the uplift of member cooperative marketing societies.

First prize

Fatehabad Cooperative Marketing Society was awarded the first prize in the category of overall turnover followed by Karnal and Tohana Societies. Fatehabad Cooperative Marketing Society also bagged the first prize for the best overall profitability, Sonepat Cooperative Marketing Society achieved the second position.
