LEGAL AWARENESS: B. Dayananda, Superintendent of Police, inaugurating a two-day legal awareness camp for women organised by the Karnataka State Women's Commission and Prajna Counselling Centre in Mangalore on Wednesday.
MANGALORE: It is imperative for all concerned to work towards building a society free from violence against women, Superintendent of Police B. Dayananda has said. He inaugurated a legal awareness camp for women organised by the Karnataka State Women's Commission and Prajna Counselling Centre here on Wednesday. Promising women that the Police Department would stand by those in distress, Mr. Dayananda called upon those who fall victim to violence, abuse, exploitation or harassment to file a complaint with the police. "We will ensure that action against the guilty in such cases and pursue cases to their logical end," he said.
