NGOs stage protest in support of NBA

MYSORE: Members of various non-governmental organisations and social service associations sat on a hunger strike at K.R. Circle here on Wednesday expressing their support to the struggle by activists of Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA) in Delhi.

Supporting NBA leader Medha Patkar's opposition to raising the height of the Sardar Sarovar Dam, the activists said the work in this regard should be stopped immediately. The cases filed against Ms. Patkar should be withdrawn, they added.
