SP releases list of candidates

CHENNAI: The Samajwadi Party on Wednesday released its first list of candidates for 11 constituencies for the Assembly elections in the State.

State president M. Gopalakrishnan announced the names of candidates for Purasawalkam, Tambaram, Madurantakam, Poompuhar, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Vedaranyam, Bhuvanagiri, Mugaiyur, Rasiuram and Mannargudi constituencies. The party, he said, would release its second list of candidates soon.
