Society submits memos to officials concerned seeking help

HYDERABAD: With the crackdown on begging getting stricter in the State, the State Society of Leprosy Colonies has appealed to the Government to provide monthly pensions for its members.

At a press conference here on Wednesday, society president V. Narsappa said though the society's members were mostly cured of leprosy, the society still suspected them of suffering from the disease, as a result of which they were forced to beg for a livelihood.
