Hyderabad: A week before the EAMCET is to be held, the Planning Coordination and Monitoring Board for Minorities (PCMB) will conduct MEMCET for admission to its 12 engineering and three pharmacy colleges. The test will be held on April 27. The last date for submission of applications has been extended up to April 15. The test will be held in maths, physics and chemistry with 60 multiple-choice questions. The result will be declared on April 29, within 36 hours and the process of admission will commence within 15 days of the declaration of results. Classes will commence on June 1. This was stated by Afzal Mohammed, vice-chairman, PCMB and Syed Azaz-ur-Rahman, convenor, MEMCET. They told reporters here on Tuesday that the MEMCET had been recognised and approved by the Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education and Justice Ranga Rao, who heads the committee set up to oversee conduct of CET. The examination would be held in a transparent manner and admission would be made purely on merit.
