Girl sent to children's home

KOCHI: The court has entrusted a girl who was fleeing from a forced marriage to the care of Janaseva Sisu Bhavan, said a press release issued here.

Lakshmi, 14, hailing from Karnataka was brought to Ernakulam from Kannur, after trying to flee when her parents forcibly tried to marry her off.

She was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate. Sisu Bhavan has taken steps to help her complete SSLC, said Jose Maveli, president of Janaseva Sisu Bhavan.
