Hosur: Following the tense situation in Karnataka due to the demise of Karnataka matinee idol Dr. Rajkumar, bus services from Tamil Nadu were terminated at the border close top Hosur. According to the police, buses from Krishnagiri, Hosur, Thally and Denkanikottai have been halted at the State border from Wednesday. A few incidents of stone pelting on Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) buses from Hosur to Bangalore at Majestic and Sivaji Nagar were reported on Wednesday.
Withdrawn
Following this, all TNSTC buses in Bangalore were withdrawn, and are parked at the Hosur bus stand. TNSTC depots in Hosur and Bangalore are instructed not to operate buses on the NH 7 and Sarjapur Route till further orders. Similarly, TNSTC buses proceeding from Salem, Coimbatore and Chennai to Bangalore have been asked to stop at Hosur.
Security
However, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) buses are plying on the route. As a result, passengers bound to Bangalore are connected through KSRTC at Athipalli on the Karnataka border. Adequate police personnel have been stationed at the border check posts of Jujuvadi, Anthivadi and Kakkanur, to prevent untoward incidents. Regular bus services from Tamil Nadu to Karnataka are expected to resume after Dr. Rajkumar's funeral, say sources. Situation likely to get normal after Rajkumar's funeral
