Former Ministers to back DPA

CHENNAI: Former Ministers K. Rajaram, V.V. Saminathan and K. Rajamohammed on Thursday announced their decision to support the Democratic Progressive Alliance (DPA) led by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) in the May 8 Assembly elections.

In a statement here, these former Ministers, who were members of the late M.G.Ramachandran cabinet, said that efforts must be made to put an end to the "politics of ostentation and arrogance."

The prospects of the DMK president M. Karunanidhi providing good governance for the State was bright, they said.
