BHOPAL: Taking a break from his by-election campaign, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Thursday attended a closed-door meeting of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party-RSS coordination committee meeting here. The meeting was held away from media glare at the Saraswati Vidya Pratishthan office in Harshwardhan Nagar. Besides Mr. Chauhan, State BJP president Satyanarain Jatia and the State party unit general secretary in charge of organisational affairs, Kaptan Singh Solanki, also attended the meeting.
`Routine affair'
The meeting acquires significance as it was held at a time when Mr. Chauhan's focus is on his April 24 Budhni by-election. A senior BJP functionary described it as a "routine" and important exercise aimed at ensuring optimum coordination between the ruling party organisation in Madhya Pradesh and the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh.
