Office of profit

This refers to the article, `Office of proft and disqualification' (April 14). While it is necessary to define an office of profit, I do not think a Parliamentary Joint Committee is the solution. Parliament as a whole is expected to discuss the issue and arrive at a "suitable" definition. And as the matter is "urgent" none of the affected can be expected to wait for the committee's recommendations.
