Seven injured in Shia-Sunni clash

AHMEDABAD:
The police fired four rounds and burst around 30 teargas shells to disperse mobs following a clash between Shia and Sunni Muslims in Kalol town in Panchmahal district in central Gujarat on Friday evening. At least seven persons, including a senior police official, were injured in the clashes.
Shops and houses were attacked and vehicles were set afire.
The police said about 40 people from both the sects were arrested for rioting.
