MYSORE: Condolences over the death of thespian Rajkumar continue to pour in from different organisations and individuals. The Mysore District Journalists Association, Sri Nittur Srinivas Rao Memorial Seva Samstha, Kannadigarigagi Karnataka Andolana, Rasthriya Hindu Sena and Sree Mahaveer Seva Sansthan, have condoled the death of the matinee idol. In different press releases, these organisations recalled the contribution of Dr. Rajkumar to the growth and development of Kannada film industry. They said that the death of Dr. Rajkumar had created a vacuum in Kannada industry, and his contribution to the industry would be cherished forever. Hunsur MLA, G.T. Deve Gowda, in a release said that the Dada Saheb Phalke awardee had inspired many people through his portrayal in "Bangarada Manushya". His discipline and principles had inspired many people. A condolence meeting was organised by J.S.S Mahavidyapeetha on Thursday evening. In a release, the Mahavidyapeetha said that the Kananda icon, who acted in over 200 movies over a span of five decades, had won the hearts of five crore Kannadigas . He also endeared himself to Kannada writers and poets by plunging into the Gokak movement to seek primacy for Kannada language. A two-minute silence was observed as a mark of respect to the actor. The meeting was presided over by the Suttur Math seer Sri Shivarathreeshwara Deshikendra Swamiji.
