Bangalore: Encashing on the huge talent pool in this high-tech city, BearingPoint, one of the world's largest management and technology consultancy firm, has opened its Global Development Centre here.

BearingPoint executive vice-president Joni Kahn told presspersons that the current strength of 100 at the centre would increase 10-fold over the next couple of years as BearingPoint would have 1,000-strong work force.

Without disclosing numbers Ms. Kahn said that significant investment was planned for the Bangalore operations and efforts would also be on enhancing the strength in other Indian cities.

But the focus would be in Bangalore, she said stating that the presence in the city underscored BearingPoint's commitment to serve clients with some of the best resources and talent available worldwide.
