`Vocational excellence' award for `film star' doctor

CHENNAI:
The Rotary Club of T. Nagar honoured dentist G. Janakiraman with a `vocational excellence award'.
Dr. Janakiraman is well known in Kollywood and is affectionately referred to as the `film star' doctor.
He has treated some top personalities, including Sivaji Ganesan.
Dr. Janakiraman is well known for contributing to actor Kamal Haasan's looks in the film, Kalyanaraman.
Directors Bhakiyaraj and Santhanabharathi and actors Delhi Ganesh, Bharath, Vivekh and Meena, and producer Thirupoor Mani attended the function. Receiving the award from writer Sivasankari, Dr. Janakiraman dedicated the award to his patients.
Ophthalmologist Mohan Rajan read out the citation.
