Fernandes rules out quitting party

Dhanbad: Dismissing suggestions that he had been sidelined in the party due to his closeness to the Bharatiya Janata Party, senior JD (U) leader George Fernandes on Saturday said he would not leave the party and revive the Samata Party.

``I have formed Janata Dal (United) and I will not allow it to ruin at any cost,'' he told reporters here.

"No differences"

To a question on differences with Bihar Chief Minister and JD (U) leader Nitish Kumar, he said ``we have no differences.''

On the recent election to the post of party chief, he said irregularities were committed and he would continue to protest this.

The election was not properly held, he said. — PTI
