Six held by anti-goonda squad

VIJAYAWADA: The Anti-Goonda Squad police on Saturday arrested six persons including a railway police constable on the charge of involvement in cricket betting. The police seized Rs. 5,000 cash, six mobile phones, a colour television and transaction records. Following a tip-off, the police conducted a raid on a lodge in Governorpet, from where they arrested Y. Tirupati Reddy of Krishnalanka, E. Atchyut Kumar Prabhakar of Eluru, E. Prasada Reddy, a railway police constable from the city, K. Srinivasa Rao of Auto Nagar and M. Bapana Chowdary, a footwear shop owner from Gudadala.
